The even more disturbing thin...Wow, powerful post. The even more disturbing thing is that the Neo-Cons really do hope that this turns into something huge, something which involves Iran and Syria. To them there is an inevitable, violent clash between civilizations that must be fought. It's pure ideology without a hint of deep human understanding. Not surprisingly, very few of these big time Neo-Cons (Rumsfeld and Cheney among them) have any combat experience of note. As you say, I think God is paying attention.
