Minns’s comments did make me think of the Time questions for Katharine Jefferts Schori, however, where, the traditionalists would argue, she denied the uniqueness of Jesus.Lionel Deimelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08363018512775944659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10326675.post-67239171960347834672010-07-26T22:00:28.738-04:002010-07-26T22:00:28.738-04:00How on earth would Minns know anything about "...How on earth would Minns know anything about "aesthetics in music and liturgy"?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X6th4pQTq8nlnhnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10326675.post-75624894337573699852010-07-26T13:16:19.770-04:002010-07-26T13:16:19.770-04:00I disagree Observer. I submit that yes, those few are also some of the most populated. But the AC is a federation of regional and national Anglican churches, not a federation of the populations of those Anglican churches.

In the same light, it is those provinces that are very much in communion with TEC that I venture are the reasons for which she elects to remain a part of the AC. Perhaps there are more who value her communion than you can appreciate.Brother Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06333089314994730330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10326675.post-37347752139558635502010-07-26T12:37:12.498-04:002010-07-26T12:37:12.498-04:00¨....but Minns could be elected so easily in most ...¨....but Minns could be elected so easily in most of the AC - perhaps that is the point¨.....Observer?

Who says? You says? I don´t think there is much of a market out there (even in the Global South) for non-pro poachers on properties owned by the Episcopal Church. Actually, not-too-observant, the U.S. Supreme Court, the Supreme Courts of Georgia, California have been tossing out purist purity property claims...is there really much of a ¨calling¨ for doubledealing priests at The Anglican Communion? I think not even if you ¨project¨ so!

Leonardo RicardoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10326675.post-30602559555528671872010-07-26T12:25:25.427-04:002010-07-26T12:25:25.427-04:00".... a choice has to be made: stay in the cl...".... a choice has to be made: stay in the club at the cost of integrity or keep to principles."

The club could choose to boot us out, something that I wouldn't mind, but I don't see much will (beyond a certain faction) to take that step.

Of course, we could choose to stay anyway, our presence perhaps putting a check on designs to disenfranchise the laity and to substitute collegiality with curial authoritarianism.

There are also those minorities in other churches (women, liberals, and lgbts) in the Communion who count on our presence to keep them from getting steamrolled into oblivion. His job was to preach the Gospel and minister to and with his people. As far as I know he kept that promise and we remain friends. Would that Bishop Minns was a gracious as this priest and had the same priorities.
