On the anniversary of Eliza Griswold's "Atlantic" story on the 2004 massacre of 660 Muslims at Yelwa, conducted by individuals wearing the insignia of Akinola's Christian Association of Nigeria, Jim Naughton has reminded those who may have forgotten the incident, or shrugged it aside as a revisionist canard, that the Anglican Communion has yet to make any serious inquiries into what "Archbishop Peter Akinola of Nigeria knew or did not know about the organized massacre". Guess the AC & C of E consider the massacring of non-believers small stuff, compared to same-sex blessings, Observer?

Naughton - YelwaLapinbizarrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07686990585795363001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10326675.post-49956261476139003962009-03-05T16:43:00.000-05:002009-03-05T16:43:00.000-05:00Observer, you have overstated the support, at leas...Observer, you have overstated the support, at least in the Church of England, for those who have left TEC. The CofE is as divided about the issues as TEC is. I have been told, although I can not verify the truth of the statement, that there are more churches in the CofE where same-sex partnerships can be blessed than in the TEC or the Anglican Church of Canada. If it turns out that the TEC is expelled from the Anglican Communion, it will not be alone. There are several other Churches within the Communion that will join us in whatever new family of Churches that emerges.Daniel Weirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11430381764138066595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10326675.post-44536475152317736182009-03-05T13:58:00.000-05:002009-03-05T13:58:00.000-05:00The problem for TEC is that the AC and CofE feel m...The problem for TEC is that the AC and CofE feel more comfortable with those who have left.....

Then let the AC and the CoE pony up a few bucks and buy their secessionist friends some church facilities.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10326675.post-6645840805597699642009-03-05T10:01:00.000-05:002009-03-05T10:01:00.000-05:00Sir, many people have been leaving the TEC buildin...Sir, many people have been leaving the TEC building for many years.
