Every Vigil is an Equal Watching
Every vigil is an equal watching,
every watcher
is ready,
even when they don't know
what
or who they wait for.
It is the watcher's task to wait. It is God's task,
or the work of the spirits of the night hours, or old loves or love yet known to provide the object and reason for it all. Watch, good friend, and wait.
Easter belongs to every one who enters into waiting.
Else, what's a vigil for?
