On the off chance than anyone though I made it up, being at General Convention and all, here is a photo by Louie Crew (thanks Louie) of me at the mike helping to lay out the resolutions concerning World Mission.
OK, so this post has no redeeming social value (and certainly won't help my soul) but I was proud to be there from Delaware, working for mission concerns, celebrating Bishop Jefferts Schori's election and generally living through the last two difficult days.
Wish I had more hair and better posture. O well.
Dear friend Mark, as a longstanding Deputy and such a hard worker in the Lord's vineyard, why would any person of goodwill doubt your presence at GC?
ReplyDeleteI don't notice less hair than last I saw you. You're always beautiful to me!
More hair is relative. And, being at GC 2003 an experience I will never forget.
ReplyDeleteMark, I have a funny picture of you I took on the last day. I was standing behind you, looking to the front of the House. To our right is Deputy Crump standing at his table (wearing his GC jacket). And you're on the platform to microphone 8, waving wildly to the dias for attention. It's long lost to me why you were trying to get attention but there you are. Let me know if you want a copy.
