Dissenter Crowd can't be all bad. (Smile)

Anglican Land is not the only world, for which we can give thanks daily. In that larger world there are struggles and contentions where the great divides here in Anglican Land are sometimes closed in common hope, struggle or despair.

Stand Firm and Titus 1:9 post important links to a variety of issues in the larger word. I have in the past held up T19's linking to various concerns about the war in Iraq. They have done a very good job in getting some of the particulars, viewed from across the spectrum, to us.

Stand Firm today posted a link to Free Tibet. It was very helpful. thanks.

The Mad Priest has a link to Free Tibet. Susan Russell over at An Inch at a Time talks about ending the war, and she ought to know, having a son in the service. I mutter about standing on the line in a silent vigil against the human costs of war.

Walt Kelly said he really did not care the color or the spots of the dog that ran into the fire to save the child. Maybe there are times we can run together with the ladder to reach the upper floors and be there for others.

Perhaps it is too much to hope for, but I am always heartened by finding commonwealth with others.

  1. Fr. Mark,

It's great to read your blog for a passionate, yet informed, reasoned and now even irenic progressive take on the great war/struggle/schism/whatever is going on in our church. I'm on the other side, but I appreciate your work on and off the blog.

    God bless you.

    Fr. Bill in LA

PS: How much are the annotated canons?

OK... Comments, gripes, etc welcomed, but with some cautions and one rule:
Cautions: Calling people fools, idiots, etc, will be reason to bounce your comment. Keeping in mind that in the struggles it is difficult enough to try to respect opponents, we should at least try.

Rule: PLEASE DO NOT SIGN OFF AS ANONYMOUS: BEGIN OR END THE MESSAGE WITH A NAME - ANY NAME. ANONYMOUS commentary will be cut.
