Friends of Preludium: I had thought to get back to posting things quickly after Christmas but will need to take a day or two more. Earlier today (Saturday, Dec 27) Anne, my mother, fell and broke her leg. At 90 that's a big deal. So now the focus is not on things out there in Anglican Land, but on the land of Anne, which is sort of like the land of Oz, only without flying monkeys. Anne is teaching our family about getting really old, and doing a fine job of it. If there are any extra prayers around a few for Anne would be appreciated.
Prayers ascending for her, you and your family.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes and prayers for your mum!!
ReplyDeleteMany prayers for Anne.
ReplyDeleteI have elderly parents, also, and have so much love for them as they endure the loss of physical strength and energy that they always took for granted.
God's blessings on you, Anne, and your family.
Prayers arising form me and those who read my blog.
ReplyDeletePrayers for Anne, and for you, Mark.
ReplyDelete[JCF, in the "Land of Chuck". My dad is 88, and is getting slightly less with-it each time I see him (last time was 6 months ago). Alright for a bit longer, but the trajectory is what it is. :-/ Damn Ageing-Process!]
Praying for Anne, I know too well the problems created by illness in the aged
ReplyDeleteWill certainly pray for your mother and you as you honour her. May she recover strongly and quickly.
ReplyDeletePrayers for Anne.
ReplyDeletePrayers for Anne and all who love her, especially her family.
ReplyDeleteUnderstood. We will be praying. The land of Anne may well be much more important than the land of Anglicanism.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers for her.

Anne deserves more than "extra" prayers. Regular strength prayers for strength to heal quickly and no discouragement in the process!

ReplyDeletePrayers for Anne, her caregivers, and you Mark and the rest of the Harris family.
ReplyDeleteAnne's artwork is so wonderful and has so many lessons in it for how to age gracefully. A broken bone is such bad luck. I will pray for Anne, you and the rest of the family.
