The New GAFCON / Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans Website is fronting the usurpers.

The new GAFCON website, which can be viewed HERE has beenrevamped and in addition to spiffy new logos to send the reader to resources, it includes a button and logo for the the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans (FOCA), which has a differente web address. The FOCA Website can be viewed HERE. The page "About the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans" says this:

"We, the participants in the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON), are a fellowship of confessing Anglicans for the benefit of the Church and the furtherance of its mission. We are a fellowship of people united in the communion (koinonia) of the one Spirit and committed to work and pray together in the common mission of Christ. It is a confessing fellowship in that its members confess the faith of Christ crucified, stand firm for the gospel in the global and Anglican context, and affirm a contemporary rule, the Jerusalem Declaration, to guide the movement for the future. We are a fellowship of Anglicans, including provinces, dioceses, churches, missionary jurisdictions, para-church organisations and individual Anglican Christians whose goal is to reform, heal and revitalise the Anglican Communion and expand its mission to the world.

Our fellowship is not breaking away from the Anglican Communion. We, together with many other faithful Anglicans throughout the world, believe the doctrinal foundation of Anglicanism, which defines our core identity as Anglicans, is expressed in these words: The doctrine of the Church is grounded in the Holy Scriptures and in such teachings of the ancient Fathers and Councils of the Church as are agreeable to the said Scriptures. In particular, such doctrine is to be found in the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion, the Book of Common Prayer and the Ordinal. We intend to remain faithful to this standard, and we call on others in the Communion to reaffirm and return to it. While acknowledging the nature of Canterbury as an historic see, we do not accept that Anglican identity is determined necessarily through recognition by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Building on the above doctrinal foundation of Anglican identity, we hereby publish the Jerusalem Declaration as the basis of our fellowship."

This is pretty well lifted from the Press Release from the GAFCON Conference. The reader will note that FOCA here is posited in primarily positive terms, with the one exception being that they "do not accept that Anglican identity is determined necessarily through recognition by the Archbishop of Canterbury."

If the reader goes to the FOCA button and into the FOCA website, there is this statement of goals of the Fellowship. I have noted several things in RED.

"Goals of the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans

The language of GAFCON was that it was a movement, not a moment. The movement has two big goals.

The first goal is missional. It is the proclamation and defence of the gospel throughout the world, especially in and through Anglican churches.

To preach the biblical gospel so that all over the world people will have the transforming experience of coming to know Christ through repentance and faith by the power of the Spirit. It is this which the 'inclusivist' gospel has lost. We therefore also need to defend the gospel and the people of God against their spiritual adversaries, notably the revisionist theology which has become so prevalent in the West.

The second goal is a consequence of the first. It is to provide aid to those faithful Anglicans who have been forced to disaffiliate from their original spiritual homes by false teaching and practice.

They need recognition and authentication. They need to be kept in the Anglican family. Obviously, it is the Primates' Council that is involved with this work, beginning with the situation in North America. The FCA membership assists through prayer, through being informed and by expressing support when the moment arrives. For this reason we would hope for a widespread and numerous Anglican membership.

The special task of the FCA is to help attain the first goal through a joyful and energetic fellowship of people from all around the world.

We thank God for modern communications which mean that we can network easily and effectively. We thank God that the GAFCON movement has been a movement of the Spirit amongst all Anglicans, not just Bishops or clergy. We thank God that our work amongst Anglicans has already been an inspiration to people of other churches and denominations who are faced with similar struggles against a worldly Christianity.

Your membership and fellowship in our work will help further these goals."

The overall goals of FOCA then are related to a central negative: "It is this which the 'inclusivist' gospel has lost. We therefore also need to defend the gospel and the people of God against their spiritual adversaries, notably the revisionist theology which has become so prevalent in the West."

FOCA appears to be a worldwide fellowship "defending the gospel and people of God against...spiritual adversaries, notably the revisionist theology...in the West." The link of this effort to "people of other churches and denominations who are faced with similar struggles against a worldly Christianity" clearly places FOCA in strategic relation to the efforts of the Institute for Religion and Democracy. FOCA becomes another front agency in the effort to unseat the influence of several denominations in the USA (read "the West").
FOCA is presented as a positive effort for worldwide evangelism from an Anglican perspective. But it is clear that it does not want to identify too much with Canterbury, particularly if Canterbury is identified as part of the revisionist west. More importantly FOCA acknowledges its major goal to be the rejection of the spiritual adversaries found in the revisionist theology of the West.

It seems to me FOCA copy is being produced by or copied from the great Institute for Religion and Democracy mill, where they grind exceedingly fine, if nothing save their own teeth.
FOCA is a support group for the usurper Anglican Church in North America. FOCA starts by wanting to promote and defend the Gospel, but quickly that is transmogrified to wanting to defend the Gospel against other Anglicans (you know, the revisionist West.) FOCA is about the destruction of Anglicanism in order to save it.

We therefore also need to defend the gospel and the people of God against their spiritual adversaries...would that ¨defending¨ include massacres such as Yelwa and Jos, the persecution/jailing of fellow LGBT Anglicans, our friends, our families?

What they ¨need¨ do is mind their own deadly affairs (if so obsessed) and stay out of the greed business of preaching of fear and the instigating and exporting of discrimination, outcasting, destruction and hate at The Body of Christ.

  2. New harlequin mask, same old schismatic propaganda.

One wonders if they got permission to use the Office 2007 logo (the puzzle looking graphic) or if they "custodianized" it.

  3. Your link does not work for FOCA.

I agree with what you put, the word "first" regarding North America I highlight.

They nicked the logo from me - mine has a jigsaw element.

  4. Speaking of logos and icons, the FOCA symbols seems to me to be borrowed from the sickle and hammer (or crescent and star). But maybe that's just me.

  6. Again, Windsor was never the standard of compliance for TEC. The standard of compliance was,at minimum, the Stephen Noll (Pittsburgh now Vice Chancellor Uganda Christian University reporting to +Orombi) CAPA "Road to Lambeth" i.e. the ordinal, the 39articles, the right prayer book etc. EPfizH

Forgive me Rev. Kaeton, but I thought that odor was just testosterone mingled with cheap after-shave.
