Nice Picture of the Boys. Hope there is another later.

The meeting of the Primates is underway in Alexandria, Egypt. The Presiding Bishop did not arrive in time for a picture taken on February 1st of the assembled group.
Last time they met the Primates were unable to take a picture together and some abstained from receiving communion together with the Presiding Bishop. This time there is a more or less formal picture of some in attendance. We hope another will be taken when the Presiding Bishop arrives.

The Living Church reports that, "Unlike past gatherings, none of the Communion’s advocacy groupshave sent representatives, and as of the start of the conference onlysix journalists have been accredited. Two of those are not scheduled toarrive until the meeting’s last day." It appears, however, that at least one advocacy group sent someone, Colin Coward of Changing Attitude is present and blogging.
No doubt there will be more later from Alexandria.

  1. I think we can all be fairly certain that Sugden and Minns are skulking about the corridors of the hotel.

  6. One wonders why were the boys were in such a great hurry to take the picture. Did the photographer have to run off to another assignment?

  7. Too many in the ACO bureaucracy are all for institutional unity....so, if they get a chance to take a picture and even have a eucharist before the PB arrives they do it.....for the prize of not having divisions..... you'll be disappointed if you hope for another picture or eucharist now she is there - but they have their picture.

Now, can they get her to agree to keep BO33 for another 3 or 30 years???? Probably....... TECUSA wouldn't want to miss out on future invites to Anglican parties!
