OK, so I'm just a little biased. This is the St. Peter's Youth (SPY) group reporting out on the mission trip to Tampa this summer. They worked for a week helping put together tent platforms at a site for homeless people and serving meals to people living there, saying their prayers and doing some good, and of course having fun.
The observations are mostly from the young people themselves and the production of the video is by one of the members of the group, McKinnon de Kuyper. She did a wonderful job. The video on YouTube is not quite as clear as on FaceBook. If you go HERE you can see this video in better resolution and some of the other videos by McKinnon. Unfortunately (or fortunately if you like FaceBook) you have to sign up in order to get to them.
One of my joys is that I get to work with this group of young people. I am fortunate beyond all asking to work with young people in the "third" third of life. Thanks be to God.
Here they are:
Looks like a fine group of young people. You are privileged to work with them, Mark. McKinnon de Kuyper's video is excellent.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBack to Bishop Anderson's letter--might be a good time to bring up Mark Twain's "The War Prayer"--wonder if the Bish has read it lately? It does a nice job of fleshing out what praying for war entails.....
