Bishop Winston Halapua who is to be made BIshop of Polynesia and Archbishop and Primate (one of threee) in the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia on Sunday next is reported by The Voxy News Engine to have said this:

"The mission," he said, "is simply to preach the Gospel, to teach the
Gospel, to live the Gospel - and to pass it on." But the kind of
mission leadership he longs to offer, he says, will only become a
reality when he plunges into the lives of the people and the
communities he's been chosen to serve.
Perhaps life is more complex than that, but one rarely sees in print a clearer statement of the work we are called to do as Christians. Preach it, Teach it, Live it, Pass it on. AMEN.
Perhaps as one of the three Archbishops of the Anglican Church of Aotearoa, New Zealand and the Pacific, one day +Winston will serve as primate and his voice will be heard at Primates Meeting. He will assuredly extend a hand of peace and true Christianity to the primates of the Global South, but he will vehemently oppose their unchristian homophobia towards GLBT folks.
ReplyDelete+Winston is trained as a sociologist and he dis research into homosexuality among the ocean nations in the Diocese of Polynesia. You will find it very enlightening;
