And what better a set of cards than this nifty-difty set of "Mao Ze Dong and International Friends" playing cards? Each card has a different photo of the late Chairman and some notable friend.
As the evil mother in The Manchurian Candidate said, "why don't you pass the time playing a game of Solitaire?" Indeed. I can hardly wait!

This was a gift from friend Chris Brennan Lee who gave it to me with glee, claiming that the moment she laid eyes on them in China she figured I needed to have them. How right she was.
OK...now back to work.
I hear tell that the souvenir shop attached to Mao's mausoleum in Beijing is world headquarters for Mao kitsch, including a Mao watch that plays "The East Is Red" for its alarm.
