Thank you Bishop Robinson.

Bishop Gene Robinson's open letter to the LGBT community is posted on Louie Crew's pages HERE. It is an important read.

At the close he writes: "
I am always caught between the vision I believe God has for God’s Church, and the call to stay at the table, in communion with those who disagree with me about that vision – or, as is the case for most bishops, who disagree about the appropriate “timing” for reaching that vision of full inclusion."

Stay at the table.

  1. So clear and honest..... unlike the TEC HOB statement and the JSC fudge.

  2. Once again, I am left wondering how the Church's - perhaps the Communion's - eventual apology for having actively marginalized for so very long our lesbian and gay sisters and brothers in Christ will be articulated. Will we as Anglicans specifically mention having chosen process over people, I wonder? Certainly, when it eventually comes, it will all be very heartfelt, as such communal acts of repentance for past injustices usually are.

But why can't most of us human beings - most of us Christians - ever seem to get ahead of the curve and really see what is happening while it is happening?

    Because we're afraid.
