So in the middle of the "crisis" in the Church of England, the GAFCON conference, the upcoming Lambeth Conference, etc, I went to St. Peter's Art Show here in Lewes, the village by the bay and the big water. It was Saturday and I came in and around going to a funeral for a fellow priest and worrying about my mother (aka "my sainted Mother).
It was almost raining, but not quite and while the art was good, nothing was particularly turning me on save some wonderful work by a friend Betsey Von Dreele. I turned the corner into the patio in front of the Parish House, and there was the children's art. Paintings for $12, proceeds to go to buy a Net for Nets for Life and a second net contributed by the Diocese. A bargain.
And then I saw this picture, unsigned, by one of the Sunday School kids. Here it is: the stuff faith is made of. ("I can say no more," Ringo said. "Say no more," said John.)
You were lucky to get there ahead of me. A pittance for the priceless EPfizH
