Sixty-eight days later, and the 33 Chilean miners are coming up to the surface. Thank God. They will be at it for a while, but it has started. God protect them all.
The rescue operation has been a complete success. All 33 of the miners have safely arrived at the surface, as well as, the five rescue workers who went down to help them all leave safely.
I hope that the last guy out remembered to turn out the lights!
OK... Comments, gripes, etc welcomed, but with some cautions and one rule: Cautions: Calling people fools, idiots, etc, will be reason to bounce your comment. Keeping in mind that in the struggles it is difficult enough to try to respect opponents, we should at least try.
Rule: PLEASE DO NOT SIGN OFF AS ANONYMOUS: BEGIN OR END THE MESSAGE WITH A NAME - ANY NAME. ANONYMOUS commentary will be cut.
When the first miner up hugged his little boy, I cried. Butch moi cried: I admit it. :-)..
