According to the Diocese of Springfield, Bishop Elect Dan Martins has received the necessary consents from Standing Committees. "Responses from the Standing Committees: Consents: 64, Non-Consents: 15." This was updated December 25th. Merry Christmas, Dan. Hopefully the necessary bishops consents will follow soon.

OK... Comments, gripes, etc welcomed, but with some cautions and one rule:
Cautions: Calling people fools, idiots, etc, will be reason to bounce your comment. Keeping in mind that in the struggles it is difficult enough to try to respect opponents, we should at least try.

Even though I disagree with the Bishop Elect on a number of issues, I am pleased that the necessary consents have been received.

Of course, we trusted the process with Mark Lawrence and that hasn't ended well, so a wary eye isn't necessarily unwarranted...
