Bishop Elect Dan Martins receives necessary Standing Committee Consents

According to the Diocese of Springfield, Bishop Elect Dan Martins has received the necessary consents from Standing Committees. "Responses from the Standing Committees: Consents: 64, Non-Consents: 15."  This was updated  December 25th.  Merry Christmas, Dan.  Hopefully the necessary bishops consents will follow soon.

Then perhaps we can get on with the task of building each other up so that we all get about the life of a people of faith.

  1. Even though I disagree with the Bishop Elect on a number of issues, I am pleased that the necessary consents have been received.

  3. Of course, we trusted the process with Mark Lawrence and that hasn't ended well, so a wary eye isn't necessarily unwarranted...
