This extraordinary work of art depicts the Holy Family, sans Child, who is off barking at the self same Morning Star arising.
Any suggestion that the big goofy one sort of looks like Preludium's author, and the little one like the the Lady of Christmas present at chez Harris is ill-founded and the work of nasty critics who will have their reward.
Meanwhile we dog types are still waiting, panting Antiphons each day, in the outrageous hope that Christ will be there at our barking, at our beginning and in our ending.
A Blessed and Merry Christmas to you, Mark, and to all those you love.

The Christmas card is splendid, and I would not dare to suggest a resemblance.
I do not like to be referred to as 'nasty critics' as it is obviously pushing the image of the artist on the image of the saintly dogs of the homestead.
ReplyDeletePlus a father should show a bit more measure of respect to his son...well possibly not.
PS I kinda like you as a goldendoodle
Dear Fishyskeleton, you can run but you cannot hide. I do indeed honor my son, so much so that in your honor I have smoked two (count them 2) wonderful cigars, whilst sippin bourbon. We all have our revenge.
ReplyDeleteCU soon.
